World Digital, a new UK digital media company focused on Sports, Entertainment and Gaming markets are proud to announce their official launch.

The company is a merger of two existing digital companies Timberwolf Media and The Digital Channel. The company brings a wealth of experience in digital venture management, content distribution partnerships and an innovative new media solutions that are focused to help rights owners develop strong digital assets.

The Digital Channel and Timberwolf Media are digital marketing companies with a strong background in business to business, direct to consumer and digital business management. The merger of the companies brings over 12 years of digital marketing and media experience together. The World Digital management team will include Adam Foster (Timberwolf Media) and James Halliday (The Digital Channel)

World Digital points out that a recent Price Waterhouse Coopers, Global Entertainment and Media Forecast for 2008-2012 stated that media rights revenues will rise by an average of 6.6 percent a year to $2.2 trillion by 2012. This growth will be derived through online advertising and a digital content explosion fueled by the adoption of broadband. According to the report, advertising linked to online videos and on portable media devices will account for 24 percent of growth in the sector and is projected to grow fastest at a compound annual growth rate of 19.5 percent to 2012. The report also predicts that there will be an acceleration of social media and digital marketing revenues with digital and mobile revenue accounting for $234 billion, in the next five years.
